A Closer Look to See The Difference Between the XPERIA X10 mini & XPERIA X10 mini pro
Now who would ever want to buy the more expensive Xperia X10 Mini Pro when it looks exactly like the cheaper Xperia X10 Mini? This was one of the questions raised by supporters and critics alike when Sony Ericsson unveiled the Xperia X10 Mini Pro. Would SE produce an exact facsimile of the Mini? Did the critics look close enough to see the difference between the XPERIA X10 mini & XPERIA X10 mini pro? There are some brilliant X10 Mini deals available online, as well as deals for the X10 Mini Pro.
It’s easy to see what these smartphones have in common. They are both powered by the same 600 MHz Qualcomm MSM7227 mobile processor. Whilst the XPERIA X10 mini & XPERIA X10 mini pro could have come with the latest version, the Mini and Mini Pro run the older 1.6 version of the Android OS.
They also come with a 2.55-inch TFT capacitive touchscreen and use the same Timescape User Interface as well as a range of other important apps.
Both devices have integration with various popular social networking sites like Facebook, Twitter and Bebo, and have messaging and other forms of communication in one place, thanks to Timescape.
Both XPERIA X10 mini & XPERIA X10 mini pro have Mediascape which manages the multimedia aspect. This application enables users to access their stored images, videos and music.
Whilst the Mini is an exclusively touchscreen phone with a T9 layout for text entry, the Mini Pro, in contrast, is equipped with a slide-out full QWERTY keyboard, like the ones used in PC’s. This sliding keyboard feature adds to the weight and measurement of the Mini Pro, thus making it a bit denser and bigger than the Mini.
Additionally, both XPERIA X10 mini & XPERIA X10 mini pro come in different launch colours. The Mini came in Gold, Pearl White, Black, Pink, Lime, Red, and Silver, whilst the Mini-Pro came only in Black, Red, and Pink.
